Having just read a blog entry from November 2007 - I realize why I have not been blogging in so long. I LOVED being pregnant and I was okay sharing the vulnerability that I felt being pregnant - the whole freakin world knew that we struggled to get pregnant - so clearly I was vunerable.
Now - I am in whole different space and my usual shtick does not seem to be working for me - I just don't have much humor these days - I feel like I am in a constant struggle to figure out how to make "this" all work. And to tell the truth I feel like a broken record, the girl who cried wolf and an all around loser.
Yes - I know that is crazy - I have a great husband and a gorgeous daughter -

Facebook Has Stolen My Blog Time
I need to get back to blogging - there are so many things that I want to talk about - but facebook is way too public for me to have the kind of conversation that I can have on my blog. But then I start thinking that half of the stuff I want to say would be better said on an anonymous blog . . see I have too much going on in my head . . .

It has been too long
The baby is now 6 months old, I am back at work fulltime and I have no idea how to manage any of this. I am overwhelmed by all my responsibilities and I need to figure out some new coping mechanisms. I am soliciting ideas on how to make it work and how to have it all. Don't be shy . . .

March 20, 2008
We had a baby girl at 3:45 am on 3-20-08 . . . she is amazing and I am one happy camper. I need to update this blog - cause I am now a 42 year old mother - not a 41 year old woman coping with infertility . . . I am sleep deprived, jiggly in funny places and looking forward to getting my body back as soon as I can. I don't mean that I won't BF our baby - but I need to start exercising - as I am not willing to blame my weight on pregnancy for the next 20 years . . . I need to be fly - in case my husband loses his mind and leaves me for a 12 year old!

38 Weeks Tomorrow
Okay - so we are closing in on the arrival of Baby D. Maybe it is time to update the blog a bit - since we are clearly no longer blogging about infertility and will soon be blogging about life as a working mommy . . . what do you think?

35 weeks pregnant . . . get outta town
Time for me to update the "about me" section of the blog. I am now 42 and I am going to have a baby sometime in the next month or so . . What the hell? This time last year we were struggling with needles, I was drinking champagne like it was water and we had money to burn! Now I get up and pee a couple of times a night, drink water like a fish and we are totally broke . . welcome to the jungle.
The good news is that I can't fly anymore - so I have been home for a whole week and it just hit me how very happy I need to be that I don't have to get on a plane tomorrow - in fact I won't be on a plane until sometime in the spring - when I hope to take the baby to visit my grandma who is 89 years old. My plan is to get the awesome 4 generation shot - grandma, my mom, me and the baby.
I have the pregnant woman waddle down pat, I am finally showing - strangers are asking when the baby is due and according to my dear husband - I am an emotional basket case. He is right - I can cry on the drop of a dime - but I can also cut you just as fast. Poor man - he tells me he is "over pregnancy" at this point. I say "Let The Games Begin".
Now that I am grounded and have found my password to the blog - I may be up and running again with a little more regularity.
